send us one honest sentence.
Something like “we think we have eleven months of runway, but nobody here would bet on it.” That’s enough for us to know whether a free 20-minute call is worth your time — and to tell you plainly if it isn’t.

or the form, if you prefer forms
Goes to the same inbox as the email address. A real person reads it within office hours.
how to reach us depends on how soon it hurts
All three channels land with the same people. This is about speed, not status — urgent things go by phone because email can sit for an afternoon.
| If this is you | Do this | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| a raise or a board meeting inside three weeks | Call (631) 324-3036Don’t email. Call. | We tell you on the call whether three weeks is enough. Sometimes it isn’t, and you’re better off hearing that today than on day nineteen. |
| your finance lead resigned this week | Call firstthen email whatever handover notes exist | Triage: what has to close this month, what the board will ask about, and what can safely wait until you’ve hired the replacement. |
| runway feels short, but nothing’s on fire yet | Use the formor email — same inbox | A reply within office hours offering two or three call times. No calendar link that makes you do our scheduling for us. |
| an investor or your lawyer told you to get in touch | Email usput their name in the subject line | We ask what they’re actually worried about. It’s usually specific — gross margin, the hiring plan — and it shapes the scope and the price. |
| you’re selling us software or offering a referral fee | Email is fineplease don’t call | We read everything. We reply to the things we’d actually use, and we don’t take referral fees — clients should know who we recommend and why. |
twenty minutes. here’s where they go.
Free, on video or the phone, and it ends when it says it ends. You hang up with a recommendation either way — even when the recommendation is someone cheaper than us.
-
0:00 – 3:00
you tell us what’s wrong
No deck, no intro slide. The version you’d tell a friend over a drink is the one we need.
-
3:00 – 10:00
we ask the awkward questions
When does cash run out, by your own guess? When did the books last close? Who built the model, and are they still here?
-
10:00 – 16:00
we say what we’d do first
Which engagement, if any. Sometimes the honest answer is “get a bookkeeper and call us in six months.”
-
16:00 – 20:00
a price and a date, or a polite no
If it’s a fit, a one-page scope with a fixed fee follows by email within two working days. Fees start at $2,950.
four long days and a short friday
It’s 8:48pm on Monday in Southold, so we’re off. Email now and it’s read first thing Tuesday.
| Mon–Thu | 10am–5pm |
| Fri | to 2pm |
| Sat–Sun | closed |
Outside these hours the email still lands, and it gets read first thing the next working morning. We don’t answer at 11pm, and we’d gently suggest your finance shouldn’t need us to.

Most clients never set foot in here, and that’s fine — the work happens in shared files. But if you’re out east and want to spread a board pack across a real table, call ahead and we’ll clear it.

things that won’t land in your inbox
Contacting a consultancy usually starts a sales machine. Ours is one person replying to your sentence.
-
a twelve-email nurture sequenceOne reply from a person. If you don’t answer it, we won’t chase you. Silence is a perfectly clear answer.
-
an NDA before we’ll talkShare as much or as little as you like on the first call. If you need one signed before you send the cap table, send yours — we’ll sign anything reasonable.
-
a paid “discovery workshop”The free twenty minutes are the discovery. If we need more before quoting, that’s our cost, not yours.
-
a proposal deck with our logo on every slideA one-page scope: what we’ll build, the fixed fee, the end date, and what it won’t fix. Engagements run $2,950 to $11,750 — see them all.
